Are you a Windows user? Yes, yes I am.
It seems like most Tumblr users are Mac people. But there must be some PC/Windows Tumblrs out there. If you are a Windows user, can you explain why in a reblog?
I use windows because there is no reason for me to waste the money on purchasing a mac. Sure, I’ve used them and I think they’re great computers, but there are a couple of things that turn me off. I like building my own computers, and then upgrade different parts at different times. Obviously this is not nearly as easy with a mac, where you are either forced to buy direct from Apple or have to try to rig up a hackintosh. I can’t stand that Apple locks down its OS so that people have to buy from them so that they can maximize profits. I can’t stand that I can get a laptop with practically the same specs - minus the compact size, superior webcam and Mac OS - for $1000 less than my friend’s macbook pro.
Windows just works fine for me. If the day came when I needed to use a computer extensively for graphic design or video editing etc etc I would consider changing. But for now, I see no need of tossing away hundreds of dollars for a nicer OS when I mainly use my computers for browsing the Internet, using some photoshop, and playing the occasional game. Oh, and the superiority complex of mac users certainly doesn’t help. Macs have their benefits, and so do Window PCs. I say we just get over ourselves and blog in peace.
